  14. I realize this is the Amiga users group but I don't know where to post this
  15. message. This is the closest thing I could find. Ignorance is bliss?

  17. I have an old commodore-64 that I need help with. It has a 5.25 floopy disk
  18. drive that I would like to load programs from. What are the steps to do this? 
  19. When I go to load any program and run it the end result is:
  20.  "Please press play on tape". I haven't used the machine in years and have no 
  21. documentation. The commands I am currently using are:

  23. LOAD "$", 8
  24.  
  25. -> Ready
  26.  
  27. LIST
  28.  
  29. -> listing of floopy directory. 
  30.  
  31. LOAD "filename", 8
  32.  
  33. -> Ready
  34.  
  35. What do I do next? All my next attempts wind up as either "Syntax error" or 
  36. "Please press play on tape"
